ThinkAg Sept News
This month, building the network, welcoming new members and developing a robust food and agriculture investment report
September at ThinkAg has been action packed. AgConnect is the research vertical at ThinkAg. Here we aim to develop deep insights into the sector with the lense of innovation. The next assignment for the AgConnect team is to develop the most comprehensive and robust investment report for the sector. As ThinkAg completes its first year of building the leadership network for food and agriculture, we are developing a detailed report on the quantum of funding in the sector. This will be a detailed report covering innovation in agritech, food and dairy sectors with the quantum of numbers verified by company filings with the regulatory body. We are working leading players in the space to develop a comprehensive landscape and expect a solid picture of investment and innovation to emerge in the sector.
The core of ThinkAg is the network that will enable acceleration in food and agriculture in the country. As part of the activities to strengthen and expand the network, the core team is on the road to share ThinkAg’s learnings at several forums in the country. Our co-founder and director, Hemendra Mathur spoke at " The Agri-Innovation Summit" held in Mumbai which was organized by CropIn in association with the Economic Time. Here hemendra who is a partner at Bharat Innovation Fund moderated a panel on ‘AgriTech-the Most Potent Driver of Supply Chain Profitability’. Mr Ram Kaundinya, co-founder and director at ThinkAg contributed to Crop-Life India’s Annual General meeting where Government Think Tanks & Agro-chemical Industry deliberate on agriculture transformation through partnerships.
India as a market for agritech startups has arrived and the world is noticing. We recently partnered with the Government of New South Wales, Australia with the goal introducing agritech entrepreneurs to the Indian eco-system. This involves conducting two events with the ThinkAg network to share knowledge and explore synergies. More updates to follow on the two events soon
Lastly, we would like to welcome Cropin Technologies as our member on the ThinkAg platform. We value having technology leaders such as Cropin to not only bring their experience to the network but also look forward to having them as thought leaders for accelerating innovation in the country!
